PSC Cart Power II power distribution system

The PSC Cart Power II Power Distribution Unit offers a convenient way to distribute 12 VDC to all the equipment on your small sound cart. It features seven, 4-pin female XLR power-output connectors. You can either connect the Cart Power II to any 12 VDC battery pack and use it as a power distribution network or plug it into AC and use it as an AC power supply. Both functions can also be used at the same time to create a uninterruptible power supply.

Each of the seven, 4-pin XLR power outputs are equipped with dedicated EMI/RFI filters to reduce the chance of intermodulation noise. Additionally, each output is individually protected against short circuits through the use of automatically resetting Polyfuses.

• the Cart Power II can be operated from worldwide 96-264 VAC power without adjustment and can provide up to 10A of DC current to power your equipment.
• a speakOn, external battery input allows you to operate from battery power.
• you can also operate the unit on both AC power and battery power at the same time, turning the Cart Power II into an uninterruptible power source.
• it will operate from AC power as long as the AC power is available. If the AC power gets cut off, the unit will automatically switch over to battery power in a seamless and quiet manner.

output overload protection:

• each individual power output on the Cart Power II is equipped with a Raychem Polyfuse automatic resettable fuse to protect that output.
• these solid-state devices act like ordinary fuses or circuit breakers that interrupt the flow of dangerously high electrical current in the case of a fault condition in the equipment being powered.
• the Polyswitch will only reset after the fault has been removed and the Polyswitch is allowed time to cool down (approximately 30 seconds).
• the Polyswitch requires no manual resetting or replacement, eliminating the need to carry spare fuses in the field.
