The RF Spotlight antenna takes a completely novel approach to interference protection. Instead of using high gain to overpower competing signals, the Spotlight creates a localized hemisphere of reception that targets microphones inside its boundaries, while rejecting signals intruding from outside. This approach enables wireless operators to increase the number of open frequencies available, lower transmitter power for longer battery life, and improve signal-to-noise ratio at the receiver.

The number one concern for most sound professionals is range. But range is only required between booth and stage. The people actually using microphones - performers - rarely stray more than 6m from a given point: which got us thinking. If we could design an antenna that sat directly underneath the performer, instead of pointed at them from far away, we could maximize signal-to-noise ratio while making high gain antennas and powerful transmitters unnecessary. A few months later, the RF Spotlight was born. In fact, the Spotlight's benefits are enhanced when microphone transmitters are set to their lowest output power. It's counterintuitive, but it works.

The Spotlight is a circular pad just 7mm thick. It slides underneath carpets, under stages, or rests underfoot. No other antenna is as inconspicuous or easier to place than the Spotlight. Installation couldn't be easier. Just attach the connector to either of a receiver's two antenna inputs, and place on or underneath a carpet or floor. The conducting elements are securely embedded in a durable non-slip polymer, so the Spotlight withstands years of punishing abuse.

With the Spotlight, brutal interference in notoriously congested environments - like trade shows, breakout rooms, downtown Manhattan, or even beside high power antenna towers - simply disappears. And you can use multiple Spotlights to do something that seems impossible, operating multiple microphones on the same frequency within the same facility.
